What to Eat – Seasonal Treats

Seeing as we’re getting into the holiday season, I thought I’d share some seasonal treats that I’ve found that aren’t awful on the taste buds when on chemos or other drugs that alter taste. Different chemos cause different taste issues, and … Continue reading

August 23, 2018 Today is my last dose of Cisplatin. I am glad to be finished with it. The side effects are more difficult to manage than the AC and Taxol, and some of them more intense. After a long … Continue reading

Cisplatin – Week 1

I started on a new weekly chemo today. It’s a platinum-based radiosensitizer called Cisplatin. It’s got some tough side effects. I’m hoping that because I’m on a lower dose, the side effects are less as well. I already have chemo brain and peripheral neuropathy, and I would prefer neither got worse. Continue reading

The Enormity of It All

Some days the enormity of it all weighs heavier than others. This week has been a dead-man’s carry kind of week. It’s heavy and it’s not moving and there’s nothing to ease the burden of carrying it except getting to … Continue reading
